Blandford Quadkids

Teams from all 8 Primary Schools in the Blandford Family took part in the recent Quadkids event. This is a new format which sees every competitor doing 4 events – 75m, 600m, Vortex throw and standing Long Jump. The scores of the top 4 boys and girls then go forward to the overall team totals.

Leaders from Year 10 at The Blandford School took the year 5 and 6 children through their activities. They not only acted as officials for all of the events but they also encouraged the children to put in their very best performances.

Peter Barry and Tom Symons were in charge of running the event which went very smoothly. Many thanks go to them for helping make this competition so enjoyable this year.

Laura Robinson from Downlands School and Aaron Lane-Leney from Spetisbury were the Individual Champions. (Other individual results can be seen on the Quadkids website).
